      Because the biceps predominant movement is to supinate the wrist (flexion at the elbow is a positive side effect), the biecps cant fire very well when the hands are prone (as in this exercise). The exercise is therefor very good for the brachialis and the brachioradialis that sits under the bicep and issists in elbow flextion. When hitting these muscles, they grow under the bicep pushing the bicep up making it look bigger.
